1. Before installing the software

If an older version of Category-Manager (version 4 or older) is already installed, please uninstall it via the Control Panel before installing the new version. Before you can uninstall the old version, Outlook must be closed.

2. Installation of the new software

First the downloaded zip file must be unpacked. An installation directly from within the zip file is not possible.

There are two MSI installation packages. Which of the MSI installation packages you must use in order to install the software depends on your version of Microsoft Outlook:

- For all 64bit versions of Microsoft Outlook use the *x64.msi file, please.

- For all 32bit versions of Microsoft Outlook use the *x86.msi file, please.

Key is the version of Outlook, or Office respectively. It doesn´t matter if Windows is 32bit or 64bit.

If you restart Outlook after the installation, you´ll see a new tab called "Categories" on the ribbon. If the new tab is not available, please check whether you really installed the proper version. If you need to change the installation, please uninstall the previously installed version first.
